Another bump?  Another detour?  Are we headed in a different direction?  We are unsure.

The news is that our birthmother hesitated too long on moving forward with the adoption.  The state will not grant her custody, and at this time the state is the guardian of the little boy.  He remains in the hospital.

On Tuesday, June 30 a court meeting is scheduled to determine next steps for the baby boy.  He will most likely enter the Department of Children and Families Custody and be placed in Foster Care in Boston and then put up for adoption.

There is a chance that the judge will honor Darla’s current wishes and place the child with us.  We are not allowed to be at the court hearing, but our Caseworker will be there.

Prayers requested for baby boy.

  1. Ugh. Luckily God has that little one in his hands. How frustrating. I understand and sympathize with any woman (or young girl) who has to make a decision like this. I can only imagine the pain. I will be praying that the case worker can plead you case, save the tax payers some money, and give him the home he deserves. You will be great parents. You’ll get your baby. I just know it. 🙂
